Hello there! 
I come back with new illustration maybe with a little story behind of this one...
I spend a lot of time and put a lot of layers here... I don't know how i can find this all patience...
Anyway, you can create your own story about this piece
My own is pretty simple.
Once in a month for one night this little mermaid can be like a real girl.
She loves this all world beyond the sea and she loves this one guy who turn up the light in lighthouse.
Everytime she sees full moon she can ask for one wish. Her only wish is to looks like real girl and be with this boy for this one night
About this work:
I used a lot of references here (links at the bottom) tempera paints and A5 size paper.
I started with night sky and the moon and i liked this so much so I wanted to try something new.
It's my first illustration without lineart. What i like in this one? Night sky, mermaid face and this hair... I think they looks really good!
I don't like the bottom of the paiting and sea... well it's my first time with paiting sea at night and it don't looks good... but finally colors looks the same as i see them in my head yay!

Ah, I like your story version, kinda romantic. Maybe too much romantic for me. :'D With this inktober, I kinda lost my interest with romantic stories.. I'd rather monster ones.. 
But this painting is so incredible!! Maybe you should draw later a painting or watercolor picture showing this lighthouse boy.
